Randy Posted December 15, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 15, 2014 Rothco CWU-45P jacket, not MA-1. It won't let me fix subject title, sorry for the confusion. This was with a grouping I just picked up. Everything else is 1960s. I know Rothco still makes jackets. As I know very little about these, can anyone please tell me if this is military issue or a commercial piece? Thanks for any info provided! viking73 Posted December 15, 2014 Share #2 Posted December 15, 2014 Hi Randy, What do the zippers say on them? I'm inclined to believe this is a commercial jacket based on the color and spec tag, not military issue. -Derek
FtrPlt Posted December 15, 2014 Share #3 Posted December 15, 2014 Commercial jacket, not military
Randy Posted December 15, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted December 15, 2014 I don't have it yet, but looking at the pics and what I could find on line I didn't think it was issue. We had Nomex when I was in, so I never really dealt with the older ones. Thanks for the help guys! Randy
Johnny Signor Posted December 16, 2014 Share #5 Posted December 16, 2014 The color is a give away as to it being non military issue
B229 Posted December 16, 2014 Share #6 Posted December 16, 2014 Commercial copy. Rothco has never made anything for the US military and CWU-45/P's are always Nomex.
BROBS Posted December 16, 2014 Share #7 Posted December 16, 2014 that's what I was going to say... Rothco ANYTHING is repro/commercial. -Brian
hbtcoveralls Posted December 20, 2014 Share #8 Posted December 20, 2014 Rothco is short for "Morris Rothenberg and company" and they make exclusively and sell exclusively to the surplus industry and are not Military contractors.
