donaldnol Posted August 24, 2022 #153 Posted August 24, 2022 It's very interesting to have these two inch wings, unknown why they chose to rout out the center of the dies on this particular one
5thwingmarty Posted March 3, 2023 #154 Posted March 3, 2023 I just picked this one up, a Rhodium plated AECo. It is so shiny it is hard to photograph.
rustywings Posted March 25, 2023 #155 Posted March 25, 2023 That’s a very nice AECO made Flight Surgeon badge Marty! I found it easier to locate a gilt AECO example than the apparent fewer-in-numbers Sterling/Rhodium variation like yours! A nicely hallmarked silver example! Thank you Marty…
GAZOO Posted February 4, 2024 #156 Posted February 4, 2024 Since most are Flight Surgeon wings I thought these may be a nice change of pace If not appropriate for this thread please remove 😉 They are not Medical Dept at the time of issue but soon after OK here are some what is believed to be pre WWI Veterinarian Corps Officer Collar WINGED HORSESHOE Not seen Very Often and took a bit of research before I found anything mentioned about them Suspect these were the Officer collar style and the Early Round Disk with Winged Horseshoe were Enlisted collar disc ? Here are one each of the two sets I just acquired and a 1917 & 1918 Army Insignia Manual PAGES
5thwingmarty Posted May 21, 2024 #157 Posted May 21, 2024 Here is an Amico that I didn't see posted here yet, a full-size Naval Flight Surgeon.
5thwingmarty Posted May 22, 2024 #158 Posted May 22, 2024 Here are my Bell medical wings. Full-size Flight Surgeon, 2" Flight Surgeon and Flight Nurse, and a couple cap-sized Flight Surgeons.
mtnman Posted April 10, 2025 #161 Posted April 10, 2025 Absolutely beautiful LGB classics and gilted early wings no less!
Threewood Posted April 29, 2025 #162 Posted April 29, 2025 A.E.Co Flight Surgeon I just picked up. It is a very thick strike.
