Darrell Posted December 8, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 8, 2014 I'm more up on researching Victorian and WW1/WW2 Commonwealth Soldiers than US. Recently came into possession of a grouping of medals that includes a PH and Victory Medal along with a French Medal and New Hampshire Award Cross for WW1 Service. PH Details: Second type Split Brooch - Numbered 19582 and Named "GEORGE H. LEVESQUE" Victory Medal Details: 2 Bars: Defensive Sector/Meuse-Argonne I would be grateful if someone can pass along how I could proceed finding something else on this fellow. Bruce Linz Posted December 8, 2014 Share #2 Posted December 8, 2014 Hello, You will want to get the award card for this soldier. that will give you his unit, date wounded and the date the Purple Heart was awarded. I recommend you try Lori at Redbird Research [email protected]. I believe she charges $10.00 per card and normally her turn around time is less than a week.
