HistoryNut Posted November 30, 2014 #1 Posted November 30, 2014 Good Morning, I was wondering if anyone can identify this necklace? I purchased a group of items several years ago that belonged to a Vietnam veteran and this necklace was in a cigar box along with several of his patches, insignia, etc. I have never been able to find anything else like it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
firefighter Posted December 1, 2014 #3 Posted December 1, 2014 Doesn't look military or Vietnamese made.
HistoryNut Posted December 2, 2014 Author #4 Posted December 2, 2014 Firefighter, Thank you very much for your input. I was thinking maybe something of European origin because of the crowned rampant lion. Possibly one of those mistery items that may never be id'd.
JBFloyd Posted December 2, 2014 #5 Posted December 2, 2014 The Vietnam War era was full of large pendants and neck chains (think large Peace symbols) for men accesorizing their Nehru jackets and bell-bottom pants. This looks like it fits into that category.
