This interesting US Navy plaque was on ebay a while back. It's not mine, did someone here get it?

Interesting indeed,

It's a 5"/38 caliber gun firing pin and firing key (trigger) most likely used on the last Naval Gunfire Support missions fired by the Fletcher class destroyer USS WEDDERBURN on her last cruise in 1969. She was decommissioned and scrapped later in 1969.

Here are a few of my personal plaques from over the years. Nothing too impressive and I'm happy to have a place to stick them rather than in a box in the shed... :D

I've run across some of my father in law's plaques while digging through storage. I'll post those up when I can get some pics of them.

Very nice Dave, these always look cool!

Please do post up some of your father in laws' plaques; those must be interesting too.

Nice Saigon Plaque!!

Here is a end of tour award made by the crew, and given to the original Executive Officer (XO) of the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN-72. It is the Lincoln's first wheel that was the originally installed by Newport News shipyard. This is one of my favorite pieces that I have acquired.

This one is an unusual plaque. This one was awarded to the last Aviator to launch off of the USS F. D. Roosevelt CV-42 during the1975 Med cruise. It has a catapult hold back fitting for the A-7 Corsair that was used for the last launch. LT. Grimard was a pilot assigned to VA-15.
