David D Posted November 16, 2014 Share #2 Posted November 16, 2014 I am guessing it is a pea green color, and yes i have seen many in that color. -Dave
Morlok Posted November 16, 2014 Share #3 Posted November 16, 2014 It's funny how they are either OD3 or OD7, but I can put 5 or 6 of them in a pile & have 5 or 6 very distinct shades! Also, I had a 43 dated ammo belt with the internal straps for the 03 in OD7, and one dated 44 without the straps in OD3!
cwnorma Posted November 16, 2014 Share #4 Posted November 16, 2014 The earliest of these 1910 series belts were "pea green" in color. Later, around 1915 or so, they changed to khaki as the Army had a difficult time maintaining consistency of the green color. Many surplus WW1 era belts were re-dyed OG for use in WW2 and later.
