DoubleEnvelopment Posted November 15, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 15, 2014 Here is one of my favorite pieces of militaria, Picked up by a Private of the 33rd during their campaign in Northern Luzon, on the 5th of March 1945 outside of Baguio near a place called the Twin Peaks. After the war he became the first Sheriff to serve 20 years in Vermillion Parrish. I wish I could find some of his uniform parts, dogtags etc, if they exist. That's a big part of the reason I'm posting it here.

mcmike Posted November 15, 2014 Share #3 Posted November 15, 2014 It has the look of having been carried many long months on the soldier's person, through all kinds of weather. Very personal piece of militaria.
Brian Dentino Posted November 17, 2014 Share #4 Posted November 17, 2014 Great flag.....but to have the bring back paperwork with it is icing on the cake! You may want to consider having the flag professionally conserved as these often times will develop holes where the acid from the ink eats the silk of the flag.
