ReverendJake Posted November 10, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 10, 2014 I have always been interested in MAAG groups and especially the more obscure ones, among my more recent interests is MAAG Ethiopia. I found a pair of (what are supposedly) Ethiopian paratrooper wings being sold by the daughter of a WW2-Vietnam SF Lt Col who served as an advisor in Ethiopia in the early 60's. The only evidence that I have that they are Ethiopian is the daughter's word. I have never seen another pair of Ethiopian wings. Being that the man had such a long career, I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't Ethiopian. I'm hoping someone can help me out with these. They're very large, probably around 2 1/2 inches long and over 1 1/2 inches tall. They're clutch back and they definitely feel like 1960's vintage. I hope its alright posting these in this section, I have seen SVN wings posted here.
gwb123 Posted November 11, 2014 Share #2 Posted November 11, 2014 These are in fact Ethiopian, per Bragg and Turner's authoritative book Parachute Wings. As these were awarded to a US officer, they are fine to post here.
