GeneralLucas Posted October 27, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 27, 2014 A man walked into the Gun Show I was set up at and said he had two German flags he had obtained when he was young from the son of the veteran who also signed this German Navy flag. These solders were in Company G and they are named and pictured on this web site and the 304th was part of the 76th Division....Here is the web site: Click here: White Bn._Company G_02

GeneralLucas Posted October 28, 2014 Author Share #13 Posted October 28, 2014 I was asked if I did any reasearch on the soldiers that signed this flag, I just obtained it and have not had a chance to. However, one soldier who signed it was Vernon E. Kohrumel and beside his name was (Doc). Under Purple Heart awards he was listed as a Medic....http://76thdivision.com/304/history_304th_006.html I do not know where the soldiers ran into the Kriegsmarine but it could have been at the bridge at Niederhone on the Wehre River where some units of the Kreigsmarine were.
