Johnny Signor Posted October 26, 2014 Share #4 Posted October 26, 2014 I had the actual patch of this one and have yet to get a 100% positive ID , so it's still in my "Unknown" file Johnny
vintageproductions Posted October 26, 2014 Share #5 Posted October 26, 2014 It was identified by member Gparlin awhile back here on USMF. It's one of the 8th air force base unit patches.

steve h Posted October 27, 2014 Share #7 Posted October 27, 2014 I looked back at Gparlin's posts and found his of 4 Oct 2012 where he shows it in with units of the 446th Bomb Group. I wonder which unit it is for. Steve
Johnny Signor Posted October 28, 2014 Share #8 Posted October 28, 2014 I recently queried the 446th BG people and no one recalls this one .........................
ocsfollowme Posted October 28, 2014 Share #9 Posted October 28, 2014 I saw it ID'd someplace about a month ago....I actually think an older TP. When I was in Afghanistan in 2011-2012, a seller from England sold about 8-10 of these as "unidentified patches" one after another for months. They were going from $20-65 each, and I was going to pick one up...but thought against it since the seller had so many, and they all were in mint condition. vintageproductions Posted October 28, 2014 Share #10 Posted October 28, 2014 They all came out of an old embroidery shops stock that was found. Lots of great English made insignia came out of the same group.
ocsfollowme Posted October 28, 2014 Share #11 Posted October 28, 2014 I wish that ASMIC kept track of my past viewing history with the TPs. With a quick search, this is all that I came up with...the same as stated above. http://www.patches-military.com/store/p571/446th_Bombing_Squadron_5%22_Patch.html
