Brig Posted October 22, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 22, 2014 Alright, I'm stumped on these. Got a small assortment of WWI and Span Am era insignia, including a lot of misc brass rings, buckles, etc mixed in...including these rather large, prong back numerals. Some of the prongs are bent, making me wonder if they were mounted to leather straps or some such thing (cavalry?), the prongs are also fairly thick. Anyone know what these are? daniel griffin Posted October 29, 2014 Share #2 Posted October 29, 2014 Here in Pa we see brass lettering such as this attached to horse tack from the mid to late 1800's.
Brig Posted October 29, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted October 29, 2014 I was thinking horse tack myself, not sure if the military used letters on them though
