Found this Ike and matching shirt last week at an antique mall. Thought it was Reslly cool when I saw the shirt w/matching parches. The real surprise was when I checked the shirt pocket, and found a complete unsewn set. Happy Happy happy !

Those armor patches are amazing.

 

They are typical German Bevo weave patches.

 

The best part about them is that they appear to have German WW2 material as a background color.

Cool patches, but why does it have the 1950's embroidered on blue twill chevrons?

The 104th Division was reactivated in 1946 in Oregon in the USAR and served as a training division. So, as KurtA said, WWII vet serving post-war in the Reserves.
