APO472 Posted October 21, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 21, 2014 I have been around this stuff for a long time. Never seen this one. Still on the WWI uniform and from a 2 War family grouping. The sons served in WWII. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

APO472 Posted October 21, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted October 21, 2014 Thank you Sir! Are the common or un-common? I have held and seen 100's of WWI Uniforms. Never seen this patch. Thanks again!
KurtA Posted October 21, 2014 Share #4 Posted October 21, 2014 Between common and un-common, closer to un-common. Not one you see all the time, but they're "around."
atb Posted October 21, 2014 Share #5 Posted October 21, 2014 General Storage Intermediate Depot is what I have seen in contemporary documents. It was an installation in the Intermediate Section of the Services of Supply.
atb Posted October 21, 2014 Share #6 Posted October 21, 2014 It is for the General Intermediate Storage Depot. From Ford's book, "Within the Services of Supply Intermediate Sector[,] the General Intermediate Storage Depot at Gieves, France, was the largest depot in the AEF with over 25,000 personnel." the SSI was approved by GHQ AEF June 11, 1919.
