This one probably belongs in the USMC patch library, but he went to the USN weather schools and was assigned to shipboard duty.

It's part of a larger Desert Storm era group Patch is 9 1/2" x 4 1/2"

Here is my contribution a worn COMMANDER U.S. NAVAL FORCES JAPAN patch measuring roughly 8 1/2" in diameter. I was always curious as to who would wear a patch like this. Would the actual Commander of all U.S. Naval Forces in Japan during this time period wear this of maybe his staff?

Here is a more recent patch manufactured my guess during the 1980s for Seal Team 2. It measures 8 3/4" in diameter.

This one I've post before and another forum members pointed out that ORDINANCE is spelled wrong. This one is a little smaller at 7 1/4" in diameter.

Essex Class Carrier USS BENNINGTON (CVS-20) In service 1944-1970

This was her first Vietnam Cruise, she was deployed to WESTPAC 1965 and then was diverted to Vietnam when the Gulf of Tonkin incident occurred.  This patch is now being knocked off by 'the usual suspects' so buyer beware collectors.

Curious about the CV-61 Ranger patch, white with winged "EOs" I believe is the designation. What are / were the EOs?

Good question as it's not really clear to the swabbies and bubbleheads......

It' a "back seater" patch, (radar) Electro-Optical or REO, aka RIO (Radar lntercept Officer)

This cruise patch is 7.5 inch top to bottom, about 8 inch per side. I am not sure what the IMA Dept. is or was. Was is like the AIMD we see today?
