italian front Posted October 12, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 12, 2014 Hi, I can buy this B-15 jacket for 200 euros, it has some damage and used sign. from the label, I think it is from 1944 contract and so I hope it is a ww2 flight jacket... In your opinions is it an original one? Can be fromm ww2 era? 200 euros is a correct price? Thank you very much in advanced.
BlueBookGuy Posted October 12, 2014 Share #2 Posted October 12, 2014 Hello, yes B-15 is original from about mid-1944. A nice specimen color-wise in my opinion, it seem to be a true green rather than the usual O.D. Not so about conditions - heavy rips under right forearm and wrist, damaged wristlets, and the whole zipper needing replacement. I think 200 Eur. (now, about $255) could be excessive. Greetings from Italy - Franco.
JDK Posted October 12, 2014 Share #3 Posted October 12, 2014 Franco is right on. It is a real B-15. In its current condition the price is a little high. I've seen real nice ones selling for $400-$600 on ebay lately. JD
BlueBookGuy Posted October 12, 2014 Share #4 Posted October 12, 2014 Hello, if you wish check out, there is a nice original B-15 for sale Buy Now - at Eur. 315, just some not serious damage at cuffs. Remainder seems to be OK. Go writing the following number in eBay's searching band, then "search": 171468492592. Of course as you might know, beware of "vintage" B-15s having zipper perfectly centered on the front, in the B-10 style - there are some hanging around. Wartime contracted B-15s should have zipper offset to right-side. Ciao, Franco.
