501st Signal Bn Iraq (fake / fantasy?)

Fantasy, 501st doesn't wear a flash anymore. Ranger Joe has lots of fantasy/reproduction pieces on the bay.

From a veteran in my family. All patches are vintage original no glow but I need help identifying the yellow bordered flash with red white and blue center and the flash that looks like 5th SF but has a silver border. Any help is much appreciated.

XVIII ABN CORPS (could have been 18TH AVN BDE)

I think that this unit replaced 4/17TH CAV right after ODS.

Existence was confirmed by 2ND CAV Museum curator & Historian (also fellow forum member) who recently acquired a complete uniform and beret from a veteran.

They wore the 2ND ACR SSI with ABN tab. (color of the tab to be confirmed).

And here's a unit sticker that was recently shown to me.

OK, that makes sense. I have 4/17th up to, at least, 1993 and I have 4/6th at the 2004 mark but I have notes indicating that someone was in between with a unknown length of assignement. So the 4/2nd must be that in between element.

And yes, all under 18th Avn Bde

I hadn't heard of 4/6th (CAV I assume?)...did they wear a maroon beret with a specific flash?
