Brig Posted October 7, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2014 I've been after one of these for years...but was not willing to spent the often $300 for one, which I see as a bit crazy. This popped up as a BIN at a fair price and I snatched it up...the remaining finish is fantastic and, even better, it's a scarcer riveted version. Only thing that could have made it better is if it had the Colt markings on the grips. Either way, I'm a happy guy with this one...
GIKyle Posted October 7, 2014 Share #2 Posted October 7, 2014 That's a neat looking badge with the revolvers- did they switch the design after the 1911 was adopted as the service pistol? Kyle
Brig Posted October 7, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted October 7, 2014 They did, sometime between 1911 and 1915. I believe 1915 is when Rock Island stopped using rivets

SgtMaddoxUSMC Posted October 13, 2014 Share #14 Posted October 13, 2014 Nice Brig! I just picked up a Colt one from Robert (Tarbridge). Been wanting one of these for awhile! Next I will try to get one of these variations. I'll have to post recent pics of the shooting badge board I am working on, it's coming along nicely.
