skypilot6670 Posted October 2, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 2, 2014 doinworkinvans Posted 19 September 2014 - 11:37 PM What do you guys think about this ATC wing....fantasy piece? I do believe it to be period at least, but wanted to hear some other opinions! THanks Daniel Found this pin on eBay made by Levele. Looks to be the same pin as the one on the front of the Gemsco. If that is the case, then the wing appears to be a put-together. -Mike
McDermut99 Posted October 2, 2014 Share #2 Posted October 2, 2014 Sure looks like a put together.

mghcal Posted October 2, 2014 Share #5 Posted October 2, 2014 The DI you posted sure looks like the possible donor. I think most collectors would be of the consensus that it's entirely possible it could be a period piece but without provenance it's just a questionable wing. I've seen several wings that have buttons or DI emblems applied in fact there was an aircrew on ebay not to long aircrew ago that had a gold aircrew symbol which was probably a button. http://www.ebay.com/itm/STERLING-US-ARMY-AIR-FORCES-WINGS-PIN-WORLD-WAR-2-1941-1945-/171466083886?ssPageName=STRK%3AMESINDXX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=P2OfyyY24Z7vSCIynN0IBq1lQKY%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
