What do you guys think about this ATC wing....fantasy piece? I do believe it to be period at least, but wanted to hear some other opinions! THanks

Found this pin on eBay made by Levele. Looks to be the same pin as the one on the front of the Gemsco. If that is the case, then the wing appears to be a put-together.

The DI you posted sure looks like the possible donor. I think most collectors would be of the consensus that it's entirely possible it could be a period piece but without provenance it's just a questionable wing. I've seen several wings that have buttons or DI emblems applied in fact there was an aircrew on ebay not to long aircrew ago that had a gold aircrew symbol which was probably a button. http://www.ebay.com/itm/STERLING-US-ARMY-AIR-FORCES-WINGS-PIN-WORLD-WAR-2-1941-1945-/171466083886?ssPageName=STRK%3AMESINDXX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=P2OfyyY24Z7vSCIynN0IBq1lQKY%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
