Early Officer EGA?

Forgive me for the awful photo. I will post better ones when this Ebay purchase is in hand. Looks to me to be pre WWII, possibly 1920s? Comes with a moth-eaten service cover named to a Col. H.C. Boehm. Any comments/info appreciated.

It's a good one...these were used up through the 50's, so generally hard to pin down an exact era aside from a decade. Looks to be a brown finish? I'm thinking 1930s

Harold C, entered service mid-30s as enlisted, commissioned late 30s

 

lots of units...6th Marines, 1/3, 1/8...served with 3/6 in Iceland, 1/9 early in the war but went to the Air Wing a month before Bougainville and did a few months recruiting, back to 1/9 in 44 for Guam, Jan 45 went to 3/9 for Iwo Jima...post war a bunch of headquarters units into the 50's
