BARman,
Love your impressions, the only thing I'd change is getting rid of the blanket for your D-Day Impression. I haven't seen those carried in photographs and film of the regiment on D-Day(most probably since they were in the bed rolls they were ordered to make). They get those bedrolls and start carrying blankets again I think around D-Day +1/D-Day +2. Also most photographs and film show the 1st ID guys wearing their life preservers under the Assault Jacket and held up with twine suspenders. However you'll occasionally see them over the vests so it isn't a big deal.

schmitty4ws1,
Do you have a picture of your pack? I'm curious if you packed it according to Merril's Official Packing list? If you don't have it I'll try to get it to you.

Actually I do! Haha I was gonna post it but forgot to. I would be interested in that packing list though...

Kyle,
I'll get you the packing list. They were to carry a ton of stuff(makes sense considering the mission). Though that pack is packed well enough for most impressions, looking at the packing list and at original photos it should be packed a little heavier.

Like I said I'll try to get you the packing list tomorrow.

Thank you though if you could get me that, that would be great! And yes I agree it should, considering the size of the packs in these pics. I just quick threw it together for pictures was all :D

Hopefully the "young look" doesn't ruin the impression. Looking for any constructive criticism.

For me the young look adds to it.

Why would being young ruin your impression? The men we portray were 18-into their 20's.

As far as your impression, I think it looks good! I'm no expert on WWI US but if I'm not mistaken patches weren't sewn on until post-war. Otherwise, everything else looks very good!
