Kurt Barickman Posted May 13, 2020 Share #254 Posted May 13, 2020 Thanks Bob, since he served into the 1960s, his file is not totally available and as a result, I can´t get the citation for his commendation with ribbon for a few more years yet anyway. Reforger Posted August 15, 2020 Share #255 Posted August 15, 2020 And another medal from the good conduct class of '51. This marine was a parachute rigger and served in Korea during the war. As a member of Fighter Squadron 212, he helped in the push up north and supporting the Marines trapped at the Chosin Reservoir.

Reforger Posted December 12, 2020 Share #257 Posted December 12, 2020 Here are some more wonderful medals. (Thanks to USMCR79 for most of these!) Next is a GCM to a China Marine. He served with the 1st Marine Division in China from 1946-1948. And two more medals from the Good Conduct Class of '51. This Marine served with HQ Company, HQ Bn, 1st Marine Division at the Chosin Reservoir. General Oliver Smith had his headquarters at Hagaru-ri. It was almost overrun and all Marines that were available were put on the line to stop the attack. And the last one. He may have served with the 1st Tank Bn, 1st Marine Division, but I haven't been able to confirm if this medal belonged to that Marine.

Marine Son Posted May 23, 2022 Share #274 Posted May 23, 2022 My name is Ernest Springer, III. Ernest Springer, Jr. was my father who died in 1980. You can imagine my surprise to see this listed. Posted by "Reforger". Trying to find out how he had this and if he still does. I would like very much to have it and buy it if available. I have very little from him for his days in the service. Please contact me. Thanks. Ernie 717-951-1888 [email protected]
