There is a thread that really didn't have an answer to if this stuff actually existed, well, I guess it does! B229 Posted September 19, 2014 Share #11 Posted September 19, 2014 This is actually all MOLLE II gear and it isn't uncommon at all. It was used by a number of units in OIF before the switch to UCP. taucco Posted September 19, 2014 Share #17 Posted September 19, 2014 yes, it is the less common variant, the early molle 2. the next model (FLC with zipper, new design ammo pouches and such) are more common. It is easily recognizable by their DAAK60-97 contract instead the more modern SP0100-04 encountered on the later ones. I actually didn't even notice it was the first version MOLLE II without the zipper and the mag pouches with the snaps. Honestly, when you've seen enough big piles of this stuff, you stop paying much attention to the details. I may be off on the dates too. Just going from memory on that one.
