Here is one of my modified tops that I am getting ready to set up as a display with some of my kit in the OIF section of the war room. These tops were made at a tailor shop on Victory Base Complex (VBC). This top was worn on OIF VII (2009-2010). I was the SGM of the AOB that was working out of Camp DUBLIN with the 1st BN of the IRAQI Emergency Response Battalion (ERB) in Baghdad. I had my ODB and two ODAs working with the BN.

If you look closely you can see the sweat stains where the body armor rode at the shoulders. Also the Iraqi velcro has kinda of a pinkish tint to it. This is from mixing in some reds while doing my own laundry in our laundry hooch. I also have the trousers that will go on the mannequin when complete. The patches were worn during operations. I need to find a mannequin with a thicker chest and broader shoulders, this one is kinda scrawny for the shirt.

Hello, SGM.

Nice shirt. I sold all my uniforms from my time (ODA 0221) at Dublin to a collector. I am thinking I may find pictures on a modified tops if I keep looking in this thread.

Anyways, take care and I hope you are enjoying your retirement.

This piece came out of San Diego about a year ago. I threw it in my closet and forgot about it until today. I bought a couple modified DCUs along with it.

Sorry about the poor lighting, just couldn't seem to get it to work. It may be hard to see in my poor photos, but the pockets were very clearly removed from their original location at the bottom of the jacket.

Thanks! I've bought many uniforms from the same store, very few are modified, most are run of the mill. This one threw me off for a moment just because it wasn't the kind of stuff I'd pulled from there before.

I've parted with a couple since then. Here's one I pulled from there, both pockets were done the same. Well sewn to the sleeves with some reenforcement. I believe the velcro was all sewn as well. I'll try to dig my others out this week.

PriorityOne

I bought it thinking it was just added velcro, classic ranger mod, but when i got it I noticed that it at one time a mod then changed back. Bottom pockets were on sleeves then put back.
