KurtA Posted September 13, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 13, 2014 Just obtained this locally the other day. (It's not one of the fakes that the Ebay seller from Ohio is peddling.) My poor photos don't do it justice, but it's of very high quality and well struck with drop-in pin catch. These pins were originally manufactured by a New York jeweler on behalf of Eddie Rickenbacker. He took them to North Africa in 1942 when he visited the squadron in North Africa in 1942. He gave them out at a squadron dinner. These were worn above the wings (in the same manner the earlier WW1 versions were worn.)
