Plant#4 Posted June 24, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 24, 2008 I purchased these wings at the Fort Worth show a few weeks ago. I have searched for the factory and I can not find them any where, or any information. Does any body have any information? From top down they read " Aero Plane & Motor Manufactures " with the name " EUGEL " super-imposed between North and South America On the back it is marked " Bunting Stamp Co. PGH " I have contacted them, and they are searching? thier records ( I hope ) With 820 employees, they should have left an imprint somewhere, even if they were swallowed by another aircraft concern. These are just short of 3 inches by 1 1/4 inches. A beautiful enameled wing to be sure. Any guesses as to where I should look? Dave

Plant#4 Posted June 24, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted June 24, 2008 Do a Google search for THE ENGEL AIRCRAFT CO. and Albert J. Engel. Gee, that was fast! Thank you. I suppose that is a stylized "N" that just looks like a "U" or even a factory reject, Now to look for a logo that will compliment this WW 1 manufactures badge.
