How to preserve a salty/fragile liner

I recently acquired a salty named 29th liner and I am looking for info on how to keep it the exact condition it came to me in. All help is apritiated.

Clean what you can, then leave it in a stable environment (stable humidity and temperature). I often unclick the headband clips so the headband doesn't add strain to the webbing. And don't play football in it.

Since there is no way of reversing the damage already done, the goal is to prevent more. Handle very little but when you do, hadle with care. Try not to touch the webbing at all. If you're going to display it, I would set it down directly on a shelf rather than a helmet stand. Limit it's exposure to light and humidity. Just set it somewhere safe and leave it alone. Tell people to look with their eyes...not with their hands. ^_^
