David D Posted September 9, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 9, 2014 I recently acquired a salty named 29th liner and I am looking for info on how to keep it the exact condition it came to me in. All help is apritiated. -Dave
gitana Posted September 9, 2014 Share #2 Posted September 9, 2014 Clean what you can, then leave it in a stable environment (stable humidity and temperature). I often unclick the headband clips so the headband doesn't add strain to the webbing. And don't play football in it.
David D Posted September 9, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted September 9, 2014 I wouldn't want to take the sweatband off because it looks like it was on there since it was used in Aachen. -Dave
David D Posted September 13, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted September 13, 2014 Does anyone else know? -Dave
strawberry 9 Posted September 13, 2014 Share #5 Posted September 13, 2014 Since there is no way of reversing the damage already done, the goal is to prevent more. Handle very little but when you do, hadle with care. Try not to touch the webbing at all. If you're going to display it, I would set it down directly on a shelf rather than a helmet stand. Limit it's exposure to light and humidity. Just set it somewhere safe and leave it alone. Tell people to look with their eyes...not with their hands. David D Posted September 13, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted September 13, 2014 I posted it in the helmet section, it is titled new 29th liner or something like that. I will get the link later. -Dave
SergeantMajorGray Posted September 13, 2014 Share #8 Posted September 13, 2014 There's not really anything you can do for that liner just sit it on a shelf and keep it cool and dry.
