48stars Posted September 4, 2014 #1 Posted September 4, 2014 I did read the pinned on this forum and believe I'm ok by just asking a question. I heard that some marines brought back VZ52 Czech rifles and if they seemed to be in very used condition most likely so. Can't find much else on the internet but what the seller already informed me of. No capture papers but they could have easily been lost in the shuffle. So it either is or it isn't and if anyone here has the specifics to say yay or nay, I'd very much appreciate it. Whether it is a capture or not really doesn't make much difference, It'll just determine whether I restore it or not. If a veteran of Grenada, I'll leave it be.
Mandy Posted September 4, 2014 #2 Posted September 4, 2014 Hi, look on this link. Tom http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vz._52_rifle
48stars Posted September 4, 2014 Author #3 Posted September 4, 2014 Thanks, I also got an inside scoop via PM on their actual Grenada bring back, all points to mine being the same, the heavily oiled stock, metal is ok, but is in very used condition. Also being the odd 7.62X45 is another good indicator
badash5946 Posted September 5, 2014 #4 Posted September 5, 2014 Years ago I saw an old collection with several Grenada documented bringbacks so yes they are possible.
48stars Posted September 5, 2014 Author #5 Posted September 5, 2014 Pretty sure this is one, it looks identical to most and is an exact same maker, model, and year of a documented bring back that sold at auction for 675- I paid 125- for this one.
