irish Posted September 1, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 1, 2014 Here are 2 patches found over the last month or so while out snooping about. This summer has been a little better than past for finding things in antique and second hand stores. Hope it continues. The first is the 76th Tank Bn. This would be post WW2 era when the unit was a component of the 11th Airborne Division. The second is an oddball that took me a bit to figure out. My guess is a 1920ish or later Coast Arty Signals. It is fancy chain stitched on blue dungaree material. This must have been worn on a type of duty uniform made of similar material. Almost looks overseas made. First I have ever encountered. Comments and insights always welcomed.
tredhed2 Posted September 1, 2014 Share #2 Posted September 1, 2014 Your electrician's sgt chevron was ca. 1910 according to Emerson's new book (pg 177).....if I have applied this practically.

KurtA Posted September 1, 2014 Share #5 Posted September 1, 2014 Just to expand a bit on what Dave stated, the chevron is a Coast Artillery Corps Electrician Sgt 1st Class. The CAC was one of the few branches having denim background chevrons to match that type of shirt.
