trenchbuff Posted September 1, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 1, 2014 Just picked up this nice USAF L-2 with a couple really cool vintage patches, 4th Fighter Wing and 334th Fighter Squadron. There isn't really much published about these lightweight L-2s except that they were used in the Korean War and the early years of Vietnam by the old timers. I can make out the outline of a name tag on this one and sure wish it was still there. Found a little something interesting in the pocket too. vintageproductions Posted September 1, 2014 Share #2 Posted September 1, 2014 That is a nice looking jacket. Is it going to eventually end up on the website or is it a keeper?
trenchbuff Posted September 1, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted September 1, 2014 Here a couple close-up shots of the patches as well as a well worn acorn I found in the pocket. Maybe it was a good luck charm he carried with him.
trenchbuff Posted September 1, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted September 1, 2014 That is a nice looking jacket. Is it going to eventually end up on the website or is it a keeper? Still having fun with this one and need to learn a little more about it before I decide.

Johnny Signor Posted September 3, 2014 Share #6 Posted September 3, 2014 The patches are most likely the FIW for the 4th Squadron and for the 334th if it was Korean era ........
