agate hunter Posted August 31, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 31, 2014 Recently picked this flight suit up, and thought it may have been a custom made item, but found the tag just yesterday. I thought the suit was cool in that its a wool and has dress buttons. I'm guessing it would have been used as a flight suit. Named to a Lt. Col., and dated to 1956. The tag says: Aero Medical Laboratory Clothing Branch Experimental Test sample. "Flight suit" is written on the tag. The tag is hidden in the rear area, which unbuttons. Buckle is plastic, and zippers lead to inside of suit, for access to pants pockets, etc.

Jeff TX Posted August 31, 2014 Share #3 Posted August 31, 2014 Very rare medical historical find! Most medical research was accomplished in San Antonio TX. The Base Realignment and Closure action in the last few years moved medical research to Dayton OH
