INIMICUS Posted June 22, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 22, 2008 I just got in a f'gere with yellow/gold flecking with WWI material. but the top is very fancy - the crown-top" tip seen in threads here on senior officers' dress uniforms and ones on adjutants' with their gold metallic embroidery. can anyone tell why the special tips for "ordinary" cords like these, and if this is from WWI? for that matter, what's the diff. from WWII? plus. is the medale militaire f'gere for either war special or scarce as some have suggested? thanks! GIl Sanow Posted June 22, 2008 Share #4 Posted June 22, 2008 I believe it is indeed the French Medal Militaire fourragere. I suspect from the construction that is is European (French?) made as opposed to US. G
