My first issued operational flight suit in 1995 had two silver starts on the cuff. Now I know what they were for. I used to think they gave me a recycled General's flight suit.

This is an interesting topic that I never knew existed. Great to have learned something new! I've never seen any of these, but now that I know, here's one that appeared in a mix lot I viewed!  And now that I've posted the shot, I realize they are "diamonds" and not stars. Are these associated?!?  RIO / Weapons Officer? aka, "back seater" hours credits?

Diamonds were worn by FAC (forward air control) pilots.
