Sabrejet Posted August 21, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 21, 2014 There's a whole generation out there who have grown up without experiencing the joy that was "The Phil Silver's Show"...better known as Sergeant Bilko. As a British "baby-boomer" I used to watch it on BBCtv back in the 60s and enjoyed its fast-paced, very American humour...even then, as a youngster. I've loved the show ever since and always watch any re-runs which are screened, but over the years I've also bought various DVD collections as they've been released, so I can watch them any time! The latest addition is a 20 disc set which contains every episode, plus the pilot and the inevitable "extras". However, it doesn't come cheap! In the UK it will cost between £100 - £125 ( that's $165 - $207) depending upon where you buy it...but what price can you put on such laughter!?
