I think US Naval Law enforcement is security guard of the US Navy, but not sure...? And what's the badge just over the pocket ?

Very cool BDU top. I've never seen a direct-embroidered Navy Law Enforcement badge before. The sailor would most likely have been a Master At Arms, 3rd Class (MA3). Master At Arms is the Navy version of a Military Policeman. The wings above the "U.S. Navy" tape are for an Air Warfare Specialist.

Many thanks for theses informations ! But what's exactly mean "Law enforcement" ? What's sort of job are include in this word ? Is that only in the US Navy ?

Thanks for response.

Hi P-E,

Law enforcement is basically the job description for a police officer. I don't speak your native language, unfortunately, but the closest comparison I can think of is the French gendarmerie. I hope this helps :)

I realized that we became a bit loose ends with BDUs and six color DCUs. I think this thread intended to be OEF/OIF related.

There is a proper thread for Desert Storm era uniforms. (I forgot what title is). I think posting BDUs is OK if it's related to this conflict or worn in conflict.

Anyway, show us more of your ACU and DCU stuff! I'm always interested to see more!

It's interesting that it's placed high up; I've always seen them as a pocket patch.

Thanks Guys!,

Here are a few more

This one belonged to a chap who completed five tours, two of Afghanistan and three of Iraq. In an article about him it says that

he witnessed some of the most intense fighting of the War when he was deployed in Fallujah in 2004.

Forgive me if this shouldnt be shown in the DCU/ACU thread. I found this interesting as it includes the Combat Action Badge which I believe may have been issued first in 2005.

I havent seen many CAB's on woodland BDU's before

This one belonged to a quite well known chap, there are quite a few articles about him on the net.

He was a Major with the Corp of Engineers, and was one of those who dealt with the aftermath of Katrina and the Levy's.

He served in Afghanistan several times. The shirt has both Ranger and Sapper tabs.

I just receive my jacket today...I'm so happy. I'm 100% sure of authenticity of this jacket. I never saw this psyops badge (see collar) before and since I bought it.

I still search this badge for my own collection of badges and patches, in desert and woodland camo ! If someone can find a new pair of this badge, it interess me ! I can easy pay $10 for a set of this badge to add in my private collection !!!

Got this from a friend's mom who said she got it from her friend who said he was "Special Forces". LOL if by special forces you mean installation management agency, sure ;)

I have finally got around to digging out my small BDU collection. I will try and post them in a rough chronological order.

First up is a USAF ERDL shirt in the RDF cut.

This was originally a USMC shirt (traces of the globe and anchor can be seen on the left chest pocket)

The shirt itself is badged up to a Staff Sgt Curtice, 1st Combat Communications Group, Air Force Communication Command.

Second:

US Army Civilian - Safety.

It is patched up 65th Medical Brigade and has a FWTS patch of the 1st Logistics Command as well. Also there are the various US Military Civilian patches on the left chest pocket and on the collar points.

Next up is a USAF BDU belonging to Captain Travis. I picked this up from a vintage shop in the UK so I'm 100% happy it is original.

More can be read about Captain (now Colonel) Travis here : http://www.moody.af.mil/library/biographies/bio.asp?id=17007

This BDU is from the period '7. May 1993 - April 1996: OA-10 pilot, 82nd Airborne Liaison Officer, 75th Fighter Squadron, Pope AFB, N.C.'

Next up is the BDU belonging to Colonel Lane USAF, SOCOM.

This BDU features the SOCOM patch on the right chest pocket and above this the Air Force Commanders insignia - dating the service date as post-2002. The BDU itself is 2000 dated.

Unfortunately I have been unable to identify anything further with regards to the shirts previous owner.

Up next is a mix of USAF BDUs.

There are three USAF SOC ones, two have belonged to elements of the 352nd SOG operating out of RAF Mildenhall, UK.

The SOC Security Force I would presume is also from the UK based group, as it was another vintage shop find.

The 123rd Security Squadron of the 123rd Airlift Wing Kentucky ANG, however it has the MAC patch on it as well.

And finally for the Woodlands, two US Army BDUs.

One is a modified one as used on USSF training and selection courses. It has no name, instead it has a candidate number on it. The lower pockets have been moved to the arms, and there is traces of velcro/flags having been stitched to the pockets at some point.

The final BDU is a US Army 10th Mountain Division BDU named to a Captain Benjamin with an Ordnance Corps branch insignia on the collar. It also has the 1st Logistics Command SSI on the right arm. There is evidence of a US flag being stitched onto the right arm as well.
