Ngrovcam Posted August 18, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 18, 2014 Gents, It has been almost 2 years since my grandfather William C Groves passed away....he had 20 years in the navy serving in ww2, KW, and VN. It has been hard to bear the loss of him. He is buried in Arlington and the following video has carried me through days of heartbreak- through every day since he passed. I wrote the following as well- Among the rush and bustle of our nation's Capitol there rolls the hills of green. This place Is Arlington, with trees that tower and lean. It is dotted with slabs of Marble and stone, each one baring a name. For the deaths of those men who lay below, no one is to blame. Some died before their time through hails of lead, others died aged and grey in their own bed. These men though, brave heroes all. Memorialized on monuments along the national mall, these men are immortal even in death. Each day taps sounds, and a man lowers down. This sacred place is Arlington.
