Siamundo Posted August 17, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 17, 2014 I was hoping someone might be able to identify this DI. I was thinking it might be state guard or national guard related and possibly from Maryland. It is made by the Sherman Mfg. Company, provenance RI. Thank you for any help! Manchu Warrior Posted August 17, 2014 Share #3 Posted August 17, 2014 I am not sure what unit it is but that is the flag of the city of Baltimore on the top and that is the Battle Monument on bottom center. The monument is located in Baltimore and commemorates both the Battle of Baltimore and Battle of North Point and the defense of Fort McHenry during the War of 1812. Siamundo Posted August 17, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted August 17, 2014 Thanks Manchu Warrior. I knew the black and yellow diamond pattern was part of Maryland's state flag but I did not realize it was also part of the city of Baltimore's as well. Thanks for the ID on the monument. I did not know what that was.
