mysteriousoozlefinch Posted September 24, 2023 #77 Posted September 24, 2023 Just got back from the store. ACU with full insignia from Goodwill, still has the tag on it, basically new never worn it seems.
mysteriousoozlefinch Posted July 6, 2024 #78 Posted July 6, 2024 Officer Candidate School with a jammed zipper.
mysteriousoozlefinch Posted July 23, 2024 #79 Posted July 23, 2024 Two for one. 2012 contract for a 25th ID specialist. Captain with quite the array of qualification badges, including Expert Infantryman Badge, jump wings, Air Assault Badge, and Pathfinder.
mysteriousoozlefinch Posted August 24, 2024 #80 Posted August 24, 2024 Brigadier General with Expert Field Medical Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Air Assault Badge. Name tag removed unfortunately.
Haze99 Posted October 19, 2024 #81 Posted October 19, 2024 I was not aware the Raiders were wearing OCP's? https://www.military.com/daily-news/2024/10/18/marine-raiders-ordered-stop-wearing-multicam-uniforms-align-elite-unit-broader-service.html *MARSOC units were renamed to Raiders in 2013 and are within USSOCOM. They conduct missions on par with U.S. Army Special Forces. **Marine Force Recon still exists and their mission unchanged, being under USMC command.
mysteriousoozlefinch Posted December 28, 2024 #82 Posted December 28, 2024 29th Infantry Division current assignment and former wartime service patch on this ACU picked up today exploring a store I'd never been to.
mysteriousoozlefinch Posted January 17 #83 Posted January 17 Not sure how common this was, but here's a UCP pattern ACU with Navy rank, branch tape, and an Al Asad airbase patch. I've found two photos on DVIDS from 2009 showing Navy base personnel in UCP, included below. On Capt. McMahon you can see the edge of what I think is the Al Asad patch.
bruno1993 Posted January 23 #84 Posted January 23 I just received this one, all insignia on the chest are sewn on to the jacket and the airborne one is a velcro patch. I have no ID on the name. Still a cool jacket to me!
mysteriousoozlefinch Posted Tuesday at 07:46 PM #85 Posted Tuesday at 07:46 PM An early contract date UCP patrol cap from 2004. The Velcro on the back looks like it might have been a later addition?
