Here is a recent gift for our annual displays

Very neat! I've got a couple from an active duty Chaplain who is also a forum member here. I love doing Chaplain displays, a lot of conversation gets started when people realize that Chaplains are right in there with our troops.

He is a long friend of my dad. I was fortunate to receive some of his items. Here is his ACU. Too bad he didn't include the Ranger tab!

I'm not sure about his combat SSI (left sleeve). It is apparently 2nd Marine Division. He probably was assigned to USMC unit from his previous tour. I will ask him more about it.

Click on link below, you will find Phipps' experience and photos. It is a cool read because he is a licensed Civil War battlefield guide so he compared the soldier experience of the Civil War and current conflict in Iraq.

Here are photos of his ACU.

With IOTV body armor. (No, it is not his. I added it for display purpose.)

Thanks for looking!

Here I am (on left) with a good friend, we are just south of Baghdad near Mahmadiyah (June or July 2009). Sorry I have not dug out my uniforms yet. I was enjoying my Thanksgiving break.

Take Care Jimmy

Good friend of mine gave me a set of UCP Delta's. Put the jacket next to my regular UCP jacket to show the color. I will post more pics of the jacket and trousers tomarrow.

Thanks,

Jimmy

The veteran is father of my friend. He was of 86th BCT, Communication specialist, got deployed in Afghanistan. He gave me this ACU top. The patches are incomplete as he is still in service so he needs some of patches. I'm missing rank tab and combat patch (the one I have on right now is not original to the jacket as I found it in show and used it as placebo, when I find the Mountain tab, I'll ask him if we could swap patches so that way I have 100% original uniform. I have a picture of him wearing this jacket but I'm not sure if I should post it or not considering I didn't ask him for permission yet. The T-shirt was given to my friend but he was kind enough to allow me to take pictures of it.

An ACU that has been sprayed with green spray paint. The spray painted ACU is a known 173rd Airborne modification. Interesting thing about this piece is that ALL the velcro pieces on the jacket (except pockets and wrists) have been taped over with tape and spray painted as well.

M60 Driver

Thought this would be the appropriate thread to post this pair of ACU and DCU belonging to the same officer. Veteran came into my store today to sell excess gear taking up space in the garage. First the ACU.

This jacket was made prior to the introduction of the US Army Combat Shirt (ACS) by a US Special Forces soldier. These shirts were made and worn to lessen the heat while on patrols/operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I'm being serious I just think the colors of it cool, I'll never no what is like to see camo pattern in action because I'm diabetic and I was doing ROTC at my high school before they got rid of the program, but in all seriousness I do like the pattern because its rare which in my opinion makes it cooler than others.
