this is my grandpas stuff from ww2 , he was a mp with the 88th field hospital on Okinawa and landed with the 2nd day invasion .

 

I know after the Japanese surrender the 88th was converted to a pow care hospital

 

any addition information on my grandpas unit or anything you have to add would greatly be appreciated

 

please not items are not for sale , do not contact me and ask if I will sell anything !!!!!!!

more of his stuff

 

the white things are pieces of mother of pearl from the island

 

note the navy ring , dad said he wore this because if he had to hit someone in the face he wanted it to really hurt and do damage ,

 

the aluminum bracelet has a picture of the island engraved on it that matches the Japanese naval landing force canteen

I love some stuff you don't see all the time. Plus it's your grandfathers makes it even cooler. My PAPs group is my best stuff and what got me collecting as a kid. So in my book the best group you can have.
