CNY Militaria Posted November 8, 2009 #151 Posted November 8, 2009 Interesting COL Riehle DCU there! Not sure if there is a connection, but I have a WWII grouping belonging to a medic named Fred Riehle. It can't be that common of a name, and the medical connection is interesting. Relative perhaps?

This man is responsible for many of the lives saved in Iraq. http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...0&hl=riehle
Nkomo Posted November 8, 2009 #153 Posted November 8, 2009 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team and 82nd Airborne with velcro sewn onto the sleeves.
Nkomo Posted November 8, 2009 #154 Posted November 8, 2009 52nd Ordanance Group Major and a salty (literally) USMC DCU.
Nkomo Posted November 8, 2009 #156 Posted November 8, 2009 SOCOM Colonlel's DCU (I do have his name) and a Major Trotter DCU.
ClaptonIsGod Posted November 8, 2009 #157 Posted November 8, 2009 Ok, I'll post 4 I got for 5$ off the Goodwill online auction site. All are ID'd to Captain Taylor, research was inconclusive. Unfortunately no SSIs, but all have subdued captain's bars and 3/4 have intelligence wings. How can I date them? There is no DLA, it just has a Nato number and a stock number.
Nkomo Posted November 8, 2009 #162 Posted November 8, 2009 Some close-ups of Brigadier McNeill patches.
CNY Militaria Posted November 8, 2009 #164 Posted November 8, 2009 Very nice! Here is the PFC Riehle I mentioned. (Scroll down to post #10) http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...pic=666&hl= Also, one of my favorites for obvious reasons. She is still serving and now a Major General.
Nkomo Posted November 8, 2009 #165 Posted November 8, 2009 Schottzie, Any idea what area your PFC Riehle was from? The Colonel in my collection was from the southern West Virginia area. Arch
Andrei Posted November 8, 2009 #167 Posted November 8, 2009 Here is my contribution. More pics at http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...showtopic=58738
CNY Militaria Posted November 8, 2009 #169 Posted November 8, 2009 Schottzie, Any idea what area your PFC Riehle was from? The Colonel in my collection was from the southern West Virginia area. Arch I think it may have been Cincinnatti, but I'll have to double check.
ClaptonIsGod Posted November 8, 2009 #170 Posted November 8, 2009 So how do I date a DCU jacket from the NATO and Stock Numbers? No DLA visible
vietvet7071 Posted November 8, 2009 #171 Posted November 8, 2009 I thought 6-color was long gone by '01 My mistake. I looked again, its dated '90, not '01.

Philip Posted November 9, 2009 #173 Posted November 9, 2009 How can I date them? There is no DLA, it just has a Nato number and a stock number. There should be a contract no. on the use and care label. (lower pockets)
