M60 Driver Posted September 27, 2008 #78 Posted September 27, 2008 Here is a belated addition to the DCU thread as I did not see any USN gear as yet.
Nkomo Posted September 29, 2008 #79 Posted September 29, 2008 Here are a couple of my new DCU's. The first one is a DOD Civilian DCU made by Advantage Wear.
Nkomo Posted September 29, 2008 #80 Posted September 29, 2008 I picked two US Contractor DCU's today. I am only including pictures of one becasue both of the jackets are identical. Even though there is a high number of contractors in Iraq, you very seldom see any US Contractor or DOD Civilian uniforms. I think the ratio right now is 1 contractor to 1 US soldier in Iraq. A 1 to 1 ratio!!!!
Sbas Posted September 30, 2008 Author #81 Posted September 30, 2008 Got myself some new jackets! 1. A 4th Inf Div Captain (notice the green 4th div patch on the combat side) 2. A 1st Cav Div Spec. medic 3. A 4th Inf Div Pvt. (Notice the intresting name tape, does anyone know thise type?) KEEP ON SHOWING MORE DCUs GUYS Sebas
Page-Hendryx Posted November 1, 2008 #82 Posted November 1, 2008 Here's a nice coat I picked up today at the "vintage" store. Unfortunately it was being sold with a random pair of DCU pants as a "costume" so I had to pay thirty bucks. I noticed that the now-obsolete Warrant Officer branch insignia was sewn on the underside of the left collar.
heady506th Posted November 1, 2008 #83 Posted November 1, 2008 Here is my favorite with me in it....lmao. Will post pics of my others when I get home. This is the only pic I got of me wearing them right now. This one has all theater made insignia on it the flag being the only exception.
DM1975 Posted November 4, 2008 #84 Posted November 4, 2008 Here is my contribution. I have not gotten my ACU display together yet, but will work on it sometime.
seanmc1114 Posted November 4, 2008 #85 Posted November 4, 2008 I started this separate entry last week showing some of my new found DCU's, not realizing this one was already here: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...showtopic=29599
Sbas Posted November 4, 2008 Author #86 Posted November 4, 2008 Thanks for sharing guys...some very nice ones PLEASE show some more!!!
viking73 Posted February 10, 2009 #87 Posted February 10, 2009 Hi, this is my first post here but I too wanted to share some pictures of my favorite DCUs from my collection. -Derek And finally, a few interesting souvenir type boonie hats that appear to be locally made - they aren't USGI issue hats. I found these in a thrift shop!

Page-Hendryx Posted June 1, 2009 #91 Posted June 1, 2009 I picked this up today at the local "vintage" store. I'd seen it before but never got it because the left sleeve was always facing inwards, on the rack. Anyway, the other pocket patch is missing but I'd imagine it's a tactical air control squadron. click to enlarge

Page-Hendryx Posted June 2, 2009 #93 Posted June 2, 2009 I corresponded with someone who said he'd sell his old DCU coat; it has SETAF patch (with airborne tap) and Third Army patch along with major's rank, MP crossed pistols, and army and name tapes which I think are the removable velcro kind. He wanted $25 for it...is that a good price?
Nkomo Posted June 2, 2009 #94 Posted June 2, 2009 I corresponded with someone who said he'd sell his old DCU coat; it has SETAF patch (with airborne tap) and Third Army patch along with major's rank, MP crossed pistols, and army and name tapes which I think are the removable velcro kind. He wanted $25 for it...is that a good price? I'd certainly pay $25 for a DCU like that, especially an officers DCU. Some people are only willing $10 or $15 for DCU's, butI will pay more than that for a good patched DCU. Hope this helps!!! Arch
kammo-man Posted June 23, 2009 #95 Posted June 23, 2009 Here is a very cool modified DCU in rip stop fabric . This one has had lower pockets added to both arms . The chest pocket reelined . Velcro added to pockets and chest . Velcro added to colar for rank .
kammo-man Posted June 23, 2009 #98 Posted June 23, 2009 and the chest pocket area . This is a different jacket than normal . So to me is cool . Enjoy owen
Spathologist Posted September 8, 2009 #100 Posted September 8, 2009 I noticed that the now-obsolete Warrant Officer branch insignia was sewn on the underside of the left collar. LOL, I know this guy. And having the Warrant Branch insignia sewn to the underside of the collar is still a common form of protest over losing the Squashed Bug.
