Austin_Militaria Posted August 7, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 7, 2014 Right out of the woodwork. The jacket is mint and only worn a couple times. Probably a coming home uniform. No name inside. Dated 1918-1919. Never any collar discs added, there are no holes. Big size too, a 4L.
gomorgan Posted August 7, 2014 Share #2 Posted August 7, 2014 Nice painted patch and the red backed O/S stripes really set it them off, great find..

warguy Posted August 8, 2014 Share #4 Posted August 8, 2014 Very nice tunic. I have one for the 6th MGB that has had the sleeve lining removed. I have a yardlong photo of this unit taken August 1919, the day of the parade in Washington and day before the unit mustered out. I can only imagine it was hot, which is why I think mine has had the sleeve lining removed. Is yours present? Also, in my photo you can see some collar discs present, but many where they are not. My uniform has them but clearly with and without was correct at least on that day. Thanks for sharing. Kevin

Still has a cutter tag on one of the inside pockets that is mint and crisp. It does have a BO smell under the arms. -Rob
warguy Posted August 8, 2014 Share #7 Posted August 8, 2014 The BO doesn't surprise me, all the windows are open at the Capitol in my photo and it just looks sweltering. Thanks again for sharing. Kevin
