USER SUSPENSION: simon_rozendaal

Members of the USMF community:

Today the administration was forced to suspend the account of community member simon_rozendaal.

Back on March 30, 2014, the administration received a complaint from member Bones indicating that he and simon_rozendaal had agreed to a trade but simon_rozendaal had failed to follow through. The specific items in question and sale ad can be found here:

Member Bones indicated that simon_rozendaal agreed to send a 5-pack of chinstraps to Bones in trade for items member Bones would send to simon_rozendaal on or about January 29, 2014. The 5-pack of chinstraps failed to arrive and over the next couple weeks member Bones repeatedly tried to contact simon_rozendaal via our private message system; he received no reply despite simon_rozendaal showing online activity.

On June 29, 2014, Bones informed the USMF administration that the issue had not been resolved and the following Email was sent to simon_rozendaal:

Hello,

it has come to my attention that you entered into a transaction with another member ('Bones') whereupon it was agreed he would send some items to you and you would send him some chinstraps. He has not heard from you since January 2014 when he shipped the items to you and never received the agreed upon chinstraps.

Please contact member 'Bones' and update him on the status of this transaction. If we (the administrators of the USMilitariaForum.com) find that this transaction has not been resolved within the next seven days, nor any attempt made to honor the original agreement your account will be suspended and or banned and a notice posted regarding your suspension/banning.

Member simon_rozendaal read this email and promptly replied (on July 8, 2014) that he was not satisfied with the items he received from member Bones and would be mailing them back:

 

Hi, the items he mailed out were fake - I will be mailing them back.

As of this date, member Bones reports he has had no further contact from simon_rozendaal and Bones has NOT received the items as promised to be returned. The administration has not heard from simon_rozendaal since the July 8, 2014 message.

 

In an interest to protect the members of this community, simon_rozendaal's account has been banned. Please use caution should you be contacted by any individual bearing this username simon_rozendaal.

And please understand that we do expect members using the TRADE section to fulfill the obligations made when you agree to trade an item and especially when you receive trade for an item. The TRADE system is operated under the principle that all transactions are between the buyer and seller. This forum is not responsible for the actions of either party, however we will (as evidenced here) take action if necessary when there are abuses.

 

Banning is not something the administration here likes to do. However, sometimes a user makes it such that there is no other alternative. Any member coming across similar postings, private messages, and/or emails is encouraged to report those posts to the USMF administration.
