littlegto Posted July 27, 2014 Share #1 Posted July 27, 2014 The "Cobra" helmet (also in my avatar) belonged to one of the first AH-1J Sea Cobra pilots in the USMC. He wore this helmet in 1971. He was quite an artist having decorated both his helmet and his flight helmet bag. Along with the helmet I bought the custom painted flight helmet bag, an AH-1J manual, his checklist and a kneeboard - all named to him. The Cobras he painted on the helmet bag have faded so I had the custom case built to protect the remaining artwork. The patches were not on the bag, I simply put them inside the case with the bag. northcoastaero Posted September 23, 2014 Share #5 Posted September 23, 2014 Nice SPH-3B helmet and display. Does the communications cable on the back have a detachable rectangular amplifier on it?

Bebel Posted September 26, 2014 Share #8 Posted September 26, 2014 Nice grouping. I like very well the way you display the helmets bag. I'm thinking to do the same for vintage nylon flight jackets and some other stuffs. Franck
