Does anyone have a good clear picture or the 427th Night Fighter Squadron Insignia or patch? Trying to do some research for a family member and coming up with nothing except the bad black & white pic on wiki.

Here's the emblem of the 427thNFS as approved 30 Apr 1945.

 

The color may have shifted in converting this image to a jpeg so attached is the official design specs;

 

EMBLEM: On a grayed blue disc, border equally divided light green and red

violet, within a black annulet, a white spider web surmounted by two, yellow

orange, jagged lightning flashes, pilewise, points converging in dexter base at

center of broken torteau.
