1SG_1st_Cav Posted July 20, 2014 Share #4 Posted July 20, 2014 Looks like an experimental piece to me. Maybe "BACK TO THE FUTURE" Danny
hink441 Posted July 21, 2014 Share #5 Posted July 21, 2014 Looks like an early anvis 6 or anvis 9 NVG setup from the 1980s. Chris
Ronny67 Posted July 21, 2014 Share #6 Posted July 21, 2014 Someone grafted a very early ANVIS style NVG mount to some ACH. Any pics of the markings on the lid? It would tell us when the helmet was made and by what company. This is either some SF mod, or tacticool put togather. Either way, cool ANVIS mount
anelles Posted July 22, 2014 Share #7 Posted July 22, 2014 That's no ACH, it's a PASGT with the brim removed, or manufactured without one. Also, the liner front a pilots helmet. Some weird stuff going on there.
RedLegGI Posted July 22, 2014 Share #8 Posted July 22, 2014 Strange to say the least. I don't know what to make of it besides a PASGT that has had some changes applied.
Nkomo Posted July 22, 2014 Share #9 Posted July 22, 2014 Hink and anelles have nailed it. Definitely a PASGT with an early ANVIS NVG mount.set up. The helmet liner is definitely a helmet liner from a flight helmet. The use of the flight helmet liner is a known SF helmet modification from the 80s and 90s time period. Whatever the case, you have a neat piece and I wouldn't hesitate to have it in my collection.
mmerc20 Posted July 23, 2014 Share #10 Posted July 23, 2014 That's a liner for a IHADDS flight helmet (helmet they use for the AH-64). Mike
