KASTAUFFER Posted June 14, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 14, 2008 In response to Stephan's request to post this, I am sharing this group I recently acquired! This is a grouping to ( then 1st LT ) Paul R. Englert who was a bombardier with the 418th Bomb Squadron , 100th Bomb Group , 8th AAF . His B-17 crashed Sept 6, 1943 on a mission to Stuttgart and all of the crew except the pilot was captured. The Pilot became an Internee in Switzerland. About 2 years ago a bunch of his POW documents were on Ebay, but I did not win any of them. They sold for quite a but more than I thought they would!
