12A54 Posted July 12, 2014 Share #2 Posted July 12, 2014 Not that I can ID it, but. i think dimensions and a photo of the back would be helpful. Very nice design / piece; I really like it, whatever it is.
manayunkman Posted July 12, 2014 Share #3 Posted July 12, 2014 It looks like something that commemorates a time period. Post Civil War due to the cartridges and most likely infantry if it's that specific. It is very nice what ever it is.

BelligerentBlue Posted July 15, 2014 Share #7 Posted July 15, 2014 Seems like a knob for a drawer. Not sure to what. But based on the dimensions and threaded post on back.
rockysgoldandsilver Posted July 16, 2014 Author Share #8 Posted July 16, 2014 I don't think it would be a drawer knob, maybe a door handle? or it mounted on a wall or statue? I have no idea, maybe if we find out what the symbol means we can figure it out.
12A54 Posted July 16, 2014 Share #9 Posted July 16, 2014 That size is too big for a drawer knob. An unhelpful clue is that it does not have a "stabilizing" feature (like a small spike) that would prevent rotation if mounted flat. Wonder if it might have been affixed to a wood plaque to display a sword / scabbard? Or a grave marker?
