How old do you think the Kodiak patch in post #42 is?

 

My father served there in the early 1960's around 62 through 64 and I was hoping to see examples of the patches they may have made.

That's the right time frame for this patch.

 

It's a cut edge made by Gemsco circa mid 1950's to mid 1960's

NSGA S.Vito dei Normanni Italy disestablished in 1993 located on Heel of the boot in Italy near the Adriatic Sea I imagine Duty really sucked here.

NSGA SABANA SECA, P.R. - In 1971 NSGA Sabana Seca was established as an independent shore activity of the Navy and has been operated as a communications center continuously since that time.

On December 3, 1979, terrorists attacked unarmed sailors en route to a day watch at Naval Security Group Activity (NSGA) Sabana Seca.
 
CTO1 John Ball, the Communications Supervisor and driver the Navy bus and RM3 Emil White seated directly behind him were killed by gunfire when the bus was attacked by terrorists. Several other sailors on board the bus were injured.

A nice bright yellow jacket patch for the Naval Communications Unit on Midway Island, dated '66 '67.  Patch is about 7 inches around  Japanese manufacture NQM are the call letters for the station also a picture of a fellow wearing the patch (not this one) on his jacket

US Naval Radio Station, Tarlac, Philippines jacket patch. Philippine made, probably in the 1970s. Station was active from 1970 to 1989. Anyone know what NPO stood for?

Naval Station Argentia Newfoundland Communications  tough to date this one but if I had to guess to I would say early 60's interesting history with the base at Argentia, WW2 to 1994 with several changes throughout the years, has and Air Base, Dry docks.  Enjoy
